LARRY SHEN

Hi there! My name is Larry and I like to tell stories.

I grew up in the heart of Silicon Valley, California, and have been creating screenplays since the day I learned to write. My writing adventures took me to NYU Tisch, where I nurtured my storytelling passions in the Dramatic Writing program and started preparing for a career in film and television.

​

While in New York I became involved with the NYU Game Center, and uncovered a whole world of exciting opportunities to tell stories through interactive experiences. Now, a few years later, I am set to graduate from the SMU Guildhall with a Master's degree in Level Design and seek to create memorable player stories through the incredible medium of video games while maintaining my storytelling roots.

As an avid gamer, I resonate strongly with games that feature expansive characters and worlds. I go into each game with the wish to be invested in the experience, and immerse myself in the motivations of both myself and that of other characters.

​

I also play a lot of competitive multiplayer games like Halo, Counter-Strike and Overwatch. Go figure!

​

When not making or playing games, I write screenplays, draw comics, make music, skate on ice, play sports, play fantasy sports, laugh with friends, laugh at friends, travel, stare at art, absorb cinema, and figure out how to make things work.
